Our Lady of Candles Council 13715 – Charity led competition in Category A, while Villamonte Council 5665 Team-A topped the Bracket B contest of the 23rd Annual Knights of Columbus Inter-council Fellowship Bowling Tournament at the New Top’s Millennium Plaza Alley in Bacolod City.

The Class A champion outscored Villamonte Council 5665 Team- B, spearheaded by Elmer Libo-on in the deciding contest, 565-515. The team from Our Lady of Candles prevailed in their first encounter in the final round, 545-515, to force a rubber match.

Frantit “D Cute” Miranda rolled 129 pinfalls to lead the winning Charity Team.

The other members of the champion squad were Rey Bello, Rey Boy, Melot Alimon, Nonoy Gatila, Boy Agsam and Lito Arcinas.

Candles 13715 – Unity led by Edgar Allan del Rosario and Mother Council 3348/RDD Farms headed by Roming Dellomes were second and third runners-up.

It was the twice-to-beat Villamonte Council 5665 Team – A captained by Irne Diaz that ruled the bracket B category beating Sum-ag Council led by Jun Bacong in the finals, 538-505.

Celso Serfino and Diaz did the heroic play for the winning V-Council with a game-high 128 and 120, respectively.

With Serfino and Diaz were Romulo “D Gunner” Ramos, Cheryl Ramos, Shiela Diaz, Ronald Fernandez and Pat “D Electric” Mendoza.

Third and fourth placers were Candles 13715 Team Fraternity of Rolly Alonzo and Talisay Council led by Nonoy Ayagan.*HLG
