Toastmasters Club of
Dumaguete chartered

The Dumaguete Toastmasters Club was formally chartered by the Toastmasters International, at the Instructional Media and Technology Center of Silliman University recently, a press release from the group said.

Inducted in the event are Einstein Lavina, president; Cecile Genove, vice president for Education; Elve Nasvik, VP for Membership; Mark Raygan Garcia, VP for Public Relations; Myleen Sedillo, secretary; Rudolf Brust, treasurer; and Wilfredo Tingas, sergeant-at-arms, the press release also said.

Dr. Ben Malayang III, SU president, was the keynote speaker in the event that was attended by Victor Navales, governor of the Toastmaster District 75 Philippines; Grace Paras, District 75 lt. governor for Education and Training; and the officers of Toastmasters Bacolod Division D, headed by Melinda Sisles, and Toastmasters Cebu Division C, led by Jeffrey Belotindos.

DTM was formed September 2011 and is open to those interested in improving their skills in public speaking and persuasive communication. The club meets twice a month at the second floor of Casablanca, the press release added.*
