Two witnesses surface in
killing of homosexual

BY ADRIAN NEMES III

There are two witnesses in the brutal killing of a homosexual, whose body was found in a grassy portion of Bacolod City’s reclamation area Wednesday, Station 2 chief, Senior Insp. Robert Dejucos, said yesterday.

Dejucos said the witnesses, both female, told the police that they can identify the suspects who killed Eddie Saraet Bolatayo, 21, of Brgy. Canturay, Sipalay City, Negros Occidental, if they saw them again.

They are set to meet with the artist of the National Bureau of Investigation either today or tomorrow so they can come up with facial sketches of the suspects, Dejucos said.

Their investigation is not focusing only on a truck driver and his helper, they are also eyeing laborers of several commercial establishments near the crime scene as suspects, he added.

Dejucos appealed to other witnesses who may have seen the killing of Bolatayo to come out.

Bolatayo, an alleged pimp, was lying on his back when found near the Bacolod Real Estate Development Corp. port at about 1 p.m. Tuesday.

An autopsy report conducted by City Medico Legal Officer Ely Cong showed that Bolatayo sustained 20 stab wounds in different parts of his body, while his groin was pierced.

Bolatayo, who looks like a woman, reportedly volunteered to go with the suspects when the prostitute they approached refused them and when the suspects found out that he was a man, they killed him instead, the police theorized.*APN
