Seventy-five students graduated at the commencement of the 3rd summer school of Silliman University recently, a press release from the school said.

Majority of them represented undergraduate degrees obtained in 10 of the University's academic units, like the colleges of Agriculture, Arts and Sciences, Business Administration, Computer Studies, Education, Engineering and Design, Mass Communication, Nursing, Performing and Visual Arts, and Divinity School, the press release said.

Those from the University graduate programs obtained their degrees in masters in Public Administration, Education, English and Doctor of Philosophy in Social Science.

Dr. Grace Gorospe-Jamon, president of the Association of Schools of Public Administration in the Philippines, was the commencement speaker.

The summer school commencement was started in 2010 to give students graduating during summer term and their parents the opportunity to experience the traditional ceremony that usually takes place in March, the press release added.*
