2-day back to school
caravan in Bayawan

BY JUDY F. PARTLOW

The Department of Trade and Industry, in cooperation with the local government of Bayawan City in Negros Oriental, will hold a back-to-school caravan that offers discounted prices on school supplies, uniforms, and other basic commodities, tomorrow and Sunday, in the city.

This will allow parents to avail of school supplies with up to 14 percent discounts for the opening of classes on June 4. Other items have varied low-priced rates, the DTI said.

The caravan in Bayawan City will cater to the southern towns of Negros Oriental or those far from Dumaguete City. The DTI has not yet scheduled a similar activity for the northern areas of the province.

Establishments participating in the caravan are Lee Super Plaza, the National Food Authority, San Sebastian Marketing, Island Merchants Corporation, Nestle Philippines and Unilever. The Philippine Army will also offer free massage and haircuts during the two-day activity.*JFP
