AACI Farms beats Trading
in Fil-Sino basketball tourney

AACI Farms prevailed in the overtime, 109-107, to deal AACI Trading its first loss in the 2012 Fil-Sino All Asian Countertrade Inc. 1st Conference Inter-Color Basketball Tournament at Bacolod Tay Tung High School Po Hang Gym.

In the other game, Huminova Tigers defeated Royal Star Trading, 80-77, to strengthen its bid for the title while having the same 4-1 win-loss record with AACI Trading.

In beating the Trading side, Farms’ Richard Co’s jumper found its mark with .9 second left to break the deadlock in the overtime period and complete the team’s victory against one of the tournament’s favorites.

Romales captures
bowling tilt crown

Mario Romales of Bacolod City High School captured the championship by beating Joe Banquiran of Domingo Lacson National High School in the tie-break of the 4th Association of International Ministers “Non-rated Single Bowling Tournament” at the Super Lanes of the Goldenfield Commercial Complex in Bacolod City.

Romales and Banquiran topped the competition with identical scores of 332 points, but the BCHS bet scored a strike in the tie-breaking round to win.

Banquiran was second spot, and Ric Montaño, also of DLNHS third with 320 points.
