No building permit issued
for glass company: OBO

The Office of the Building Official has not issued a building permit for the construction of COMGLASCO at Lacson Street, Bacolod City, acting Building Official Ephraem Hechanova said.

In his letter dated May 22, Hechanova said they have not been remiss in their duties and responsibilities and have always followed due process in addressing all cases. This was in reaction to the letter of Stella Cadagat who pointed out their alleged failure to enforce a City Ordinance and the National Building Code.

Cadagat also claimed that the OBO did not enforce the three- meter setback required of all buildings from the nearest national road.

Hechanova told Cadagat that before she even lodged a complaint at their office, they had already issued two notices of violation to COMGLASCO for constructing a building without the necessary building and ancillary permits.

He said they are yet to find an ordinance that require the implementation of a three meter setback on buildings.*CGS
