In the second quarter, Champu extended the lead to 14 points as Buenaflor and Ritchie Yanson sizzled, while Randy Pudadera and Nonoy Pacheco added five points each. Richard Co and Rene Villacanas scored four points apiece to keep Crismar on the game as Champu took the halftime at 50-36.

Crismar, bankrolled by Danny Chua, managed to cut the lead at eight points in the third quarter, 66-58, as they outscored Champu, 22-16, with Gerson Sipe delivering eight points and Pete Apura adding five markers including a triple, but Buenaflor steer Champu out of trouble with eight points.

In the final period, Reyes and Tan combined for 12 points to anchor Champu’s final run at 27- 24.
