Miss World reg’l screening set

The next Philippine candidate in the Miss World pageant could be from Negros Occidental!

TV5 will bring the regional screening of Miss World to Bacolod City Wednesday at SM City Bacolod. The Kapatid Network is the official media partner of Miss World Philippines, a press release from TV5 said.

Those interested may register at the Event Centre located at the north wing of SM City Bacolod from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday.

The Miss World competition is open to all single females, 17-24 years old and at least 5 feet 4 inches tall.

Applicants who meet the requirements starting 1 p.m. Wednesday will have their onstage screening for casual wear and evening gown, and go through a question-and-answer round.

Participants should bring a photocopy of their passport or NSO birth certificate and 5R colored photographs in close-up and full length view, the press release said.

Also, candidates must bring a valid ID, casual clothes and long gowns.

Official contestant entry forms will be available on registration day at SM City Bacolod.

Miss World 2012 is slated on August 16 in Ordos, Inner Mongolia, China.

TV5 will cap the pageant screening with a mall show of exciting games, prizes and musical performances in Sugod Mga Kapatid, the press release said.*
