Mirasol leading, guv says
BY CARLA GOMEZ

Gov. Alfredo Marañon Jr. yesterday predicted that Binalbagan Mayor Alejnadro Mirasol will win the 5th congressional set of Negros Occidental by a 10 percent margin on Saturday.

Marañon, who heads the United Negros Alliance that is supporting Mirasol, said their surveys show Mirasol ahead of Board Member Emilio Yulo Jr. in Binalbagan, Hinigran, Isabela, La Castellana and Moises Padilla.

Yulo is only slightly leading in Himamamylan and they expect Mirasol to lead by a big margin in Binalbagan, he added.

Yulo could not be reached for comment last night.*CPG
