Azkals to play minus
Etheridge in Malaysia

The Philippines national team will be banking on their reserve goalkeeper Roland Muller to keep a clean sheet against Malaysia in an international friendly on Friday.

The Asean Football Federation website quoted chief coach of the Philippines national team, Michael Weiss as saying that he was not perturbed by the absence of their first keeper Neil Etheridge who is facing a suspension by the Asian Football Confederation.

"We have a big pool of players, where we can swap players and give others a chance. We have a good team anyway. We will make the best of the situation and field in a good team," the German tactician said.

The Philippines national team or known as the Azkals will face Malaysia's national team under the tutelage of Datuk K. Rajagobal in a match at Bukit Jalil National Stadium, this Friday.

Other than the absence of Etheridge, the Philippines side would also be playing without the Younghusband brothers (Phil and James Younghusband) due to their prior commitment.*PNA
