Philippine paddlers place second Local table tennis player Arnie Uy, president of Royal Paddle Table Tennis Club– Bacolod, along with four members from the Table Tennis Association for National Development (TATAND) finished second in the International Veterans Table Tennis Championships held October 26-28 in Zhe-Jiang , China . The Philippine team, composed of Uy, TATAND vice president Joben Ang, player-coach Charlie Lim, Marcos de Jesus and Philip Uy, bowed to a Chinese provincial team in the finals of the 40-49 event after beating four local Chinese teams and a Korean squad in the elimination round. In the quarterfinals, Arnie Uy scored two wins while De Jesus bagged one against a Chinese provincial team to secure a semifinal ticket. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||
