ongoing in Neg. Or.

The Department of Energy - Visayas is conducting advocacy campaigns on the downstream oil industry for local governments and dealers of liquid petroleum products that started yesterday in Dumaguete City, a government press release said.

Officers and representatives of the treasurer’s and business licensing offices of all local government units in Negros Oriental and Siquijor provinces attended the briefing on the role of local governments in the DOI yesterday at Plaza Maria Suites Inn, the press release also said.

Today, LPP dealers will participate in the forum on the rules and regulations in the DOI.

DOE Visayas director Antonio Labios said the activity aims to forge a partnership between LGUs and LPP businessmen to protect the interest and welfare of residents and ensure fair trade practices, the press release added.*
