CENECO launches improved
collection office in Bacolod

The Central Negros Electric Cooperative opened its new collection office at Mabini Street, Bacolod City, yesterday after a mass and blessing.

Its president Arnel Lapore said the renovation was due to the robbery-hold-up incident at their office in March this year.

After the incident, they decided to renovate the entire ground floor to safeguard their collections, and give more convenience to consumers paying their dues there.

Lapore said they have also strengthened their security measures and have widened the area, and also rearranged the set-up of the tellers, the cash section including the costumers account division.

They now have closed-circuit television cameras in place and have installed a screen that flashes the number of customers to be served, he said.

They also launched yesterday the new slogan of CENECO “Giving Light, Providing Opportunities.”

He added that, so far, in the Western Visayas area, CENECO has the lowest rate in terms of power.*CGS
