LCC ranks 3rd in
librarian exams

The Professional Regulation Commission has announced that La Consolacion College Bacolod has been ranked as the third top performing schools in the Visayas in the latest Librarian Licensure Examination, with a 50 percent passing rate compared to the 47 percent national percentile, a press release from the school said.

Three of its six examinees, Ma. Theresa Abellar, Analee Alingco and Jiji Berina, are among the 379 of 812 who passed the LLE given by the PRC-Board for Librarians in the cities of Manila, Baguio, Cebu, Davao and Legazpi this month.

The PRC said passers should personally register and sign in the Roster of Registered Professionals while date of the oath-taking will be announced later. Registration for the issuance of the Professional Identification Card and Certificate of Registration will be on November 15, and requirements are posted on www.prc.gov.ph, the press release also said.

The passers will receive plaques of recognition from the school during graduation rites in March 2013 press release added.*

PMWA-Neg.Occ. gets awards

The Philippine Medical Women’s Association Negros Occidental Chapter received three awards during the 63rd PMWA annual convention at Crowne Plaza Galleria in Manila Nov. 3-4, a press release from the group said.

Dr. Mary Rose Hernia-Lao of PMWA Neg. Occ. received the Dr. Fe Canlas-Dizon Award for Most Outstanding Chapter in Child Welfare Services, Dr. Esperanza dela Paz Award for Most Active Chapter in the Promotion of Breastfeeding and Expanded Immunization Program, and as Outstanding Chapter first honorable mention, the press release also said.
