MCA, Alimon Steel lead
bowlfest winners

Mulo Car Aircon won in Bracket A, and Alimon Steel and St. Joseph – La Salle Adventurer’s led the title in the men’s non-rated and women’s bracket of the Suppliers Friendship Cup Open Trio Bowling Championship at the New Top’s Millennium Plaza Alley in Bacolod City.

Mulo Car Aircon Team anchored by Romulo Ramos was declared champion after sister team Silverado ASSFBI, led by Cecil Ramon Silverio, opted not to play in the final round and settled for first runner-up.

Other members of the MCA team were Allan Baer, Boy Tisoy Villanueva and Erwin Mazarte.

Sharp Aquos of Irne Diaz was second runner-up, while ESD Electronz II and NPBC RJ Stars/TNT were third and fourth, respectively.

In the non-rated division, Candles/Alimon Steel composed of Melot Alimon, Rey Bello and Frantit Miranda o had an easy win after sister squad Roger Flores Team bowed out of the showdown and conceded before the game started.

Bago City Bowlers defeated by the Roger Flores Team, was second runner-up.

Third and fourth runners-up were Edgar Allan del Rosario’s Canvil Knights and Edgar Jerez’ Davies II.

In the ladies category, St. Joseph – La Salle defeated Condura ASSFBI Ladies in the finals, 329-328 to win the championship.

Carrying the colors for St. Joseph of Johnny Garcia were Minnie Chua, Stella Ongsingco, Suzette Morales and Cheryl Ramos, while Juliet Regollo, Slyvia Del Rosario and Lea Javier played for ASSFBI.

Davies Fusion I of Vilma Robles was second runner-up, and Tiger Eye of Jumilyn De La Cruz and Panasonic/ON-BACIBA led by Cora Romero were third and fourth.

Consolation prize winners were Philippine Daily Inquirier/Manila Bulletin of Albert Solidarios and Rolly Alonzo, champion and RJPL, first runner-up.

Tournament record holder was Irne “Pretty Boy” Diaz of Sharp in the men’s highest pinning with 99 and Juliet Regollo in the women’s side with 93.

ESD Electronz bet Cesar Sumaylo holds the men’s single and double with 155 and 273, while Sylvia del Rosario of Condura Ladies in the distaff corner with 145 and 241 apiece.

Tournament director Boy Wingpo said “Christmas Cup Open Trio” will follow on Nov.14 in the same venue.*HLG
