The Department of Education in Negros Oriental has required all teachers to undergo the personality assessment tests, after receiving complaints about their behavioral and attitudinal problems in the three districts of the province.
Some teachers, however, alleged that the test is a money-making activity of the Division.
DepEd Division Supt. Salutiano Jimenez denied this. He said that results of the personality assessment are treated with strict confidentiality.
Workshops and trainings will follow on how to address, tame or control the behavioral problems of teachers, he added.
He said the P500 per teacher expense for the tests is charged to the Maintenance and Other Operating Expenses of the district, and not to the teacher.
Jimenez said some districts may have lesser MOOE allocation because they also have few teachers and students.*JG
