3rd Marañon Boxing Cup
starts tomorrow in Silay
Top boxers in the province who won the qualifying matches in their districts, will face each other in their respective weight categories to vie for the title in the 3rd Alfredo Marañon Jr. Amateur Boxing Championship tomorrow at the Natalio G. Velez Sports and Cultural Center in Silay City.
All competing boxers will have their weigh-in today, Silay City Assistant Sports Coordinator Glen Dacula said.
Aside from the fighters and their trainer, sports and government officials are also expected to watch the championship bouts tomorrow, he added.

Elite and recreational runners ran and paced together for 5K, 10K and 15K distance from the Capitol Lagoon to Talisay City and back. |
| Iloilo to host Batang Pinoy finals More than 2,000 athletes, coaches and officials will gather in Iloilo for the national finals of the 2012 Philippine Youth Games -Batang Pinoy on December 5 to 8. Delegations will come from the National Capital Region (Metro Manila cities), Northern Luzon (Regions I-III & Cordillera Autonomous Region), Southern Luzon (Regions IV-A, IV-B and V), Mindanao (Regions IX-XII, Caraga and ARMM) and Visayas (Regions VI-VIII). The 14 events of the finals are arnis, archery, athletics, swimming, basketball 3 on 3, badminton, table tennis, boxing, karatedo, taekwondo, chess, wushu and triathlon. |
