Team inspecting
Valladolid projects

BY CARLA GOMEZ

Negros Occidental Governor Alfredo Marañon Jr. yesterday said a team has been sent to Valladolid town to make sure aid provided by the provincial government for projects there were received in the barangays.

He said that it was standard procedure, and if problems are seen an audit team would be sent in.

Meanwhile, he said Rep. Jeffrey Ferrer (Neg. Occ., 4th District) will win his reelection bid even without campaigning.

The Nationalist People’s Coalition recently withdrew its nomination of Ferrer as its official candidate. The NPC gubernatorial bet is Vice Governor Genaro Alvarez Jr., who is challenging Marañon for the top post in the province.

Marañon said Ferrer still has the support of the mayors of the fourth district, except for one.*CPG
