Road warnings urged
BY CHRYSEE SAMILLANO

A resolution requesting the Department of Public Works and Highways, the City Engineer’s office to ensure that warning devices placed on road repairs are bigger and more visible, particularly at night and are reflectorized was approved by the Bacolod Sangguniang Panlungsod yesterday.

The resolution, authored by Councilor Caesar Distrito, said it is the thrust of the city government to ensure road safety for the drivers and passengers by providing adequate and sufficient traffic safety signage.

Negligence is oftentimes blamed on the persons responsible for the accidents but there are also times where government agencies concerned take for granted these things that result in injuries or even death of innocent individuals, the resolution added.*CGS
