The Christmas Cup Open Trio Bowling starts with NPBC RJ Stars leading the opening game in the premiere division, with Davies 3 and Davies Fusion in the non-rated and women’s category in the tournament hosted by Sharp and Panasonic at the New Top’s Millennium Plaza Alley in Bacolod City.

NPBC RJ Stars, managed by Steve Po, posted 705 points as Supplier’s Friendship Cup Masskara 2012 champion Mulo Car Aircon/ASSFBI of Romulo “D’Gunner” Ramos trails with 701.

Cecil Ramon Silverio’s Silverado and TNT Construction headed by Nonoy Ruiz had identical 675 points in the third spot.

Davies II had 670; Davies I, 648; ESD Electronz II, 635; Sharp, 602, Kami Mga Hubin, 599.

Davies III led by Romel Jover and Edgar Jerez topped the non-rated bracket with 679 followed by FRM Marketing/Sharp of Fil Magbujos with 664.

Haier/SANYO is third with 661.

The other competing squads are Manila Bulletin/Philippine Inquirer, 660; Canvil Knights, 633; Bago City Bowlers, 630; Flores Team, 618; RJPL, 610; 4-Fun Team, 606; Candles Alimon Steel, 595; Metro Sales, 595; ESD Electronz I, 593; RJ Stars NPBC, 572; St. Joseph Alumni Assoc., 553.

Davies Fusion of Vilma Robles led in the women’s bracket with 641.

In the same bracket are Tiger Eye with 629; Condura ASSFBI Ladies, 622; St. Joseph ‘D Adventurers, 599; Panasonic, 596; Racahe On-BACIBA, 577; Kami Mga Gwapa, 576, and RJ Stars/NPBC, 558.

Meanwhile, a two-game non-rated trio and rated singles competition is set on Nov.30 at the same venue. Registration is P500.

The NSL non-rated trio follows on Dec.4, 6 and 11 at the Super Lanes of the Goldenfield Commercial Complex in Bacolod City.

After the three-day elimination phase the top three teams will vie for the title and the top prize on Dec.13.

Prizes are P7,000 gift certificate for the champion, P5,000 and P3,000 for the first and second runners-up.

Entry fee is P1,500.*HLG
