More than 4,000 jobs
available in 2-day fair

More than 4,000 job opportunities for overseas and local employment will be offered in a jobs’ fair November 28 and 29 at the Lamberto Macias Sports and Cultural Center in Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental, a government press release said.

Jose Ramon Benedicto of the Provincial Public Employment Services Office said Trioceanic Manning and Shipping Inc. is seeking around 4,000 Negrense fishermen to work in accredited-Chinese vessels bound for Argentina, Japan, Cape Mauritius, Fiji Island, and other neighboring Asian countries.

Applicants should be male, aged 18 to 30 years old, who have completed elementary or high school levels, and are physically fit. They are required to bring their bio-data with a recent 2x2 ID photo, an NSO-authenticated birth certificate, and their latest NBI clearance.

Trioceanic will also hold a recruitment activity on Nov. 30 at the Siaton town gymnasium, Benedicto said.

Local employers participating in the two-day jobs’ fair are Qualfon Dumaguete, Robinsons Place, Island Merchants Corp., the distributor of Nestle Philippines in Negros island, the Simon Group of Companies based in Cebu, that is set to hire workers with civil, chemical or mechanical engineering educational attainment and experience, the press release also said.
