Fil-Sino basketball

Basecom upset top seed Jast Enterprises, 97-93, while JSY Transport slipped past AACI Trading, 61-57, in the Fil-Sino All Asian Countertrade 3rd Conference Inter-Color Basketball Tournament at the Bacolod Tay Tung High School Po Hang Gym.

Robbie Jalando-on sizzled with 34 points to lead Basecom to its second straight win after opening the tournament with three straight losses.

Basecom was on top at the break, 56-54, as Jalando-on dropped 22 points in the second quarter with support from teammate Clarence Quingco and Rey Pandoro, who hit eight points each.

YBAC vs. Iloilo Execs in
friendly game today

The “Your Basketball Club Athletic Club,” led by Bong Ibe, will be in Iloilo City today to play another friendly match against the Iloilo Executive of Alejandro “Nonoy” Bonites, a press release from YBAC said.

This is the fourth friendly match for the team this year.

The Bacolod City-based YBAC, that also had a game against the Ilonggos in September, will field one team each in the 50-Up and 50-Below categories.

NOHS bowling tourney
resumes at Super Lanes

Competition resumes at  5 p.m. today  in the President Christmas Cup Bowling Tournament 2012 organized by the Negros Occidental High School Alumni Association at the Negros Super Lanes of the Goldenfield Commercial Complex in Bacolod City.

The teams  bracketed in three divisions are  Bracket  are Class ’82, Class ’66, C ’83, C ’84, C ’85, C ’74, Batch ’89, Golden, C ’80 and Batch ’97, while the 10 teams in Bracket B are Batch ’98, Class ’71, C ’70, Batch 2000-Up, Mavericks ’67, Class ’67, Class ’68, Batch ’90, Class ’65 and ’87.

In Bracket C are Batch ’95, Batch ’91, Class ’77, C’92, C’88, C’99, C’75, C’96, C’75 Sec. and C’62.
