Farmers to receive
more agri materials

Gov. Alfredo Marañon, Jr. will turnover P395,000 worth of agricultural equipment to individual farmers and farmers’ associations of La Carlota City today, Albert Barogo, agricultural engineer, said yesterday.

Barogo said the governor will give 250 laminated sacks valued at P500 each and 10 units of collapsible dryer at P27,000 each to farmer to help them mechanize the drying procedure of rice.

He said the equipment will also minimize the farmers’ post harvest losses as they do not have to manually dry their products.

A total of 250 individual farmers and 10 farmers’ associations will benefit from the materials, Barogo added.

The activity will be attended by La Carlota City Mayor Juliet Marie Ferrer, Board Member Melvin Ibañez, Rep. Jeffrey Ferrer (4th District, Neg. Occ.), and Provincial Agriculturist Igmedio Tabianan *LTG
