Ceres still at No. 1 in NFL

Janrick Soriano and Ariel Opelario made two goals each, while Marvin Bruce and Garret Parcon scored one goal apiece as Ceres Transport dominated the match against Silver Dragon to remain in the No. 1 spot of the North Football League at the Ayala North Point in Talisay City.

Soriano opened the game in 27th minute as Ceres asserted its dominance, but Silver Dragon immediately countered and evened the score at 1-1 courtesy of Ramil Ariola in the 29th.

Bruce made it 2-1 in favor of Ceres in the 41st minute, while Opelario scored the team’s third goal in the 44th to end the first half on a high note.

Silver Dragon further lagged behind in the 50th minute as Parcon connected with another goal to make it 4-1, while Opelario scored his second goal a minute later.

Soriano sealed the victory for Ceres with the last goal of the match in the 78th minute.

Meanwhile, Dynamic Builders overwhelmed Trimaxi Agro, 12-1, to strengthen its bid for the championship in the tournament.

Ali Go scored six goals for Dynamic while Nikke Segaya, Jason Panhay, Jeb Alvarez, and Fr. Tiangson had one goal each.

Jaime Poderoso added two goals for Dynamic Builders, while Archie Pamilar prevented a shutout with a marker in the 78th minute.

The four teams will clash anew on Dec. 2 in the semifinals with Dynamic facing Trimaxi in the first game and Ceres hoping to formalize its entry in the championship round with another taming of Silver Dragon in the second game.*NAB
