Princess Soraya in town
BY CARLA GOMEZ

Princess Soraya Jaafar Golez, the estranged wife of Bacolod Rep. Anthony Golez, was in Bacolod City during the weekend to attend to legal matters and meet old friends.

The princess last night said she hopes no political color is put into her meetings with friends and acquaintances, they were purely social gatherings.

When her friends learned that she was in town, she received numerous invitations to meet for old times’ sake, she told the DAILY STAR.

She said among those she met were former Rep. Monico Puentevella - a colleague of hers in the 13th Congress when she was congresswoman of Tawi-tawi, Bacolod Vice Mayor Jude Thaddeus Sayson and businessman Vladimir Gonzales, who are old friends.

She said she did not meet with Bacolod Mayor Evelio Leonardia, who is also her friend, as he was out of town during the weekend.

She refused to discuss the legal matters she was attending to in the city.

The princess said she also cleaned up her house at Capitolville in Bacolod City that she has not been to for some time.

She had earlier filed for annulment of her marriage before a Quezon City court.*CPG
