Surprise birthday party

November 25, 2012, was a red letter day for Remedios Bailon Javellana, wife of the late Catalino Javellana, who celebrated her 90th birthday.

She thought they would only have a family dinner with her sister, Lulu Tanpinco, and niece Dolly, who arrived from New York. To the celebrator’s big surprise, she was ushered in to the big ballroom of Business Inn that was beautifully decorated and filled with relatives, friends and colleagues from the Garden Club.

The thanksgiving mass was officiated by Fr. Arnold Delatina before dinner was served.

Mamang to her four children – Dindo, Melinda, Catalino and Victor – and “Wa Mimi” to her grandkids, Remedios enjoys watching teleseryes with lola Nene Tupas and lola Monggo Yulo, and the warm friendship of colleagues in the Negros Occidental Garden Club.*
