USLS booters keep
No. 1 tag in college tilt

After stamping their class on West Negros University with a 7-0 win last week, the University of St. La Salle college football team asserted their dominance over UNO-R, 3-0.

Jimmy Malalo-an of Ceres-La Salle scored in the 42nd minute to open the game, while Joel Bedia booted in two goals in the 69th and 91st minute.

Not easily intimidated, UNO-R tried to keep pace with the La Salle team, but failed to stop Malalo-an from scoring the first goal. The Rams were also not able to counter with a goal after Bedia made it 2-0 in the second half.

With two victories in the tournament, USLS now enjoy an advantage over the two other college teams and will meet the winner in the UNO-R vs. WNU match-up scheduled this weekend at the Ayalao North Point pitch in Talisay City.*NAB
