‘No party alliance in NegOr’ Rep. George Arnaiz (Neg. Or., 2nd District), provincial chair of the Nationalist Peoples Coalition, said yesterday there will be no alliance of political parties in Negros Oriental, that this is happening in other parts of the country. He said it is impossible to have a coalition in the province, with three candidates vying for governor in the May 13, 2013 elections. He was referring to Rep. Jocelyn Limkaichong (Neg. Or., 1st District), of the ruling Liberal Party, who filed her certificate of candidacy Monday, against incumbent Gov. Roel Degamo of the PDP-Laban, and former Finance Secretary Margarito Teves of the NPC. Arnaiz, who led the oath-taking rites of NPC candidates in Basay, Bayawan, Sta. Catalina, Siaton, Zamboanguita and Valencia, said the party is becoming a political force to reckon with. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||
