Silverado leads bowlfest

Silverado ASSFBI led in the premiere division, and RJ Stars/NPBC in the non-rated category of the Suppliers Friendship Open Trio Bowling Tournament at the New Top’s Millennium Plaza Alley in Bacolod City.

St. Joseph – La Salle Alumni Association led in the distaff side.

After three rounds of competition, Cecil Silverio’s Silverado pinbusters are leading with 2,062 points, four pins ahead Sharp Aquos of Irne Diaz with 2,059.

With Silverado in the rated bracket are opening day leader Kami Mga Hubin of Robbie Elegado with 2,048; Mulo Car Aircon Services, 2,028; NPBC RJ Stars, 1,998; TNT Construction/Cesar Machine Shop, 1,997; Davies I, 1,962, and ESD Electronz, 1,911.

RJ Stars II of Rowena Juarez is leading in the non-rated department with 2,025, followed by Bago City Bowlers/NPBC led by Ric Abellar with 2,012.

Also in the same bracket are Candlles Alimon Steel with 1,985; Flores Team, 1,970; Canvil Knights, 1,944; RJPL, 1,901; ESD Electronz I, 1,884; Philippine Daily Inquirer/Manila Bulletin, 1,877; Haier, 1,875; Metro Sales, 1,868; Sharp/St. Joseph HS, 1,868; St. Joseph-La Salle I, 1,856; FRM Marketing, 1,845, and Davies 2, 1,819.

RJ Stars had the record for the team’s highest single and double with 400 and 733 balls, while St. Joseph – La Salle/Adventurers in the women’s bracket with 334 and 664, respectively.

Action will resume tonight at 6:30 p.m.

Meanwhile, the two-day Active Solid Strikers Fellowship Bowlers Inc. 2012 Masskara Open Trio Bowling Tournament will start on Oct.12 at the New Top’s Millennium Plaza, followed by Kami Mga Hubin Ball Club sponsored “National Masskara Open Trio Invitational Championship” to open Oct.17 at the Super Lanes of the Goldendfield Commercial Complex in Bacolod City.

The country’s rated players from the National Capital Region, Visayas and Mindanao are vying for the top purse in the four-day event.*HLG
