COMELEC SAYS The Commission on Elections in Dumaguete City said it had received only five certificates of candidacy for sanggunian members as of 12 noon yesterday. City COMELEC officer Carmencita Cañares said they are Lani Ramon, owner of Bread Camp; William Aranas, a retired teacher of the Negros Oriental State University; incumbent councilor Nilo Sayson, Joel Obar and Board Member Saleto Erames. Cañares reminded the candidates that the commission will no longer entertain them beyond 5 p.m. today, the last day for filing of COCs of those who want to run for any elective post in the May 13, 2013 polls. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||
