Majica MassKara

The MassKara fever is in the air!

Just this weekend, as the sun began to set, two major Majica MassKara floats were unveiled at the Bacolod public plaza. The superbly-designed floats were a sight to behold! They shone brightly, radiating a rainbow of colors that simply took our breath away. These are to be paraded around the main thoroughfares of sugarlandia during the highlight of the world-renowned MassKara Festival, which is expected to be the grandest this year.

Unveiling the “Ang Bukid sang Bacolod” float were Bacolod City Mayor Bing Leonardia and Siony Hijara of the PanAsiatic Call Centers, while Vice Mayor Jude Sayson and Gaisano mall’s Nomer Lobaton led the unveiling of “Ang Baybay sang Bacolod” float.

The floats are masterpieces of Charlie Co with the help of seven of Bacolod’s most promising artists. The team of artists was assigned the responsibility to create two floats inspired by the theme “Ang Bukid kag Baybay sa (the Mountain and Seas in) Bacolod”. Kudos to artists Charlotte Rodriguez, Neil Benavente, Karina Broce, Frelan Gonzaga, Will Sarabia, Rez Galvez, and Joery Bais!

The floats are on display at the Gaisano Grand City mall and at the PanAsiatic Call Center.*
