blood service network opened

Former Sanggunian Provincial Board Member Enrique Montilla is the official candidate of the Nationalist People’s Coalition for mayor in Isabela town, Negros Occidental in the 2013 elections, a press release from his camp said.

Montilla filed his certificate of candidacy Friday at the Commission on Elections, accompanied by his wife, Irene Consunji Montilla, and his slate under the Asenso Isabeleno Team. His running mate is incumbent Isabela mayor Francis Malabor.

Endorsing Montilla were NPC gubernatorial bet Vice Governor Genaro Alvarez Jr., his running mate former San Carlos City Mayor Eugenio Lacson, and Board Member Emilio Yulo III, who is the coalition’s guest candidate for the fifth district congressional seat, the press release also said.

Montilla and Alvarez were former colleagues in the Sangguniang Panlalawigan 1991-1993.

Supporting Montilla’s bid are, Pulupandan Mayor Magdaleno Peña, former PB Angelito Colmenares, sugar industry leader Rafael Abello, and former Isabela mayor Renato Malabor, who is also running for board member.

Montilla, who is the president of the Binalbagan Isabela Planters Association, said he decided to run for mayor to make things even better for his townmates. He added that he will continue the programs of the present administration, the press release added.*
