Lenovo Smartphones launched

Tech-savvy shoppers in Visayas and Mindanao can now buyLenovo Mobile's latest smartphones that stand out because of their technical features, durable quality, unique design and affordability, a press release from the phone maker said.

Lenovo Mobile, one of China's top smartphone manufacturers, launched its flagship model – the S880 “phablet” and the entry-level A60+ model – that signifies the firm's thrust to be one of the top players in the smartphone market in the Philippines and the world.

“With the strong market showing of the previous smartphone models, we confident that the new models would propel Lenovo to become one of the competitive smartphone manufacturers in the market,” Dillon Ye, executive director, Rest of World Business Operation and Phone Business Development said.

In a market that demands value for money, the S880 “phablet” – a cross between a smartphone with a 5-inch screen and a mini-tablet – provides vismin shoppers with high-end functionality and durability at a price that delights, the press release said.

It is a phone and a multi-media device in one, with its 5-inch screen, slim and stylish design, and its Lenovo Sound technology bringing it at the forefront of pioneering efforts to make smartphones the screen of choice for entertainment and information needs of users, the press release said.

Lenovo Mobile also offers the entry–level smartphone A60+ that is designed to level up ordinary cell phone users to smartphone technology.

Priced at only P4,999, it is packed with features that exceed the needs of the new smartphone user with its 1G processor, rich multi-media, and enhanced user interface.

“Since our launch in October 2011, Lenovo Mobile has slowly gained a foothold in the mobile market backed by our exclusive partnership with Open Communications, a member of the Tao Group of Companies,” Ye said.

In Cebu, Aerophone at SM City Cebu, one of Cebu's popular mobile phone retail distributors, is giving Cebuanos a first chance to enjoy, experience and own Lenovo Mobile's newest smartphones.

In Iloilo, Titanium at Robinson's Iloilo and Playtel at SM Iloilo is giving Ilongos a peek at the newest Lenovo Mobile smartphones until Oct. 15, the press release said.

This year, Lenovo Mobile has already released a slew of Android phones that has captured the attention of Filipino smartphone buyers, like the P700, a 4-inch screen Ice Cream Sandwich powered Android which boasts of a 2500 mAh battery that promises much longer usage at a competitive price of P10,999, the press release said.*
