The Metro Bacolod Chamber of Commerce and Industry headed by Frank Carbon, Island Living Channel headed by Radjie Caram Jr. and PCCI Regional Governor Roberto Montelibano are joining the 38th Philippine Business Conference and Expo at the Manila Hotel until tomorrow to promote Negros, a press release from MBCCI said.

This year’s conference theme is One.Global.Filipino, Investments and Governance, Pillars of Economic Growth.

The convention will highlight the crucial roles of investments and governance in promoting the growth of commerce and industry in creating conditions to attain sustainable and inclusive economic development, the press release said.

“Your Island Living Channel reaffirms its commitment to the Negrenses that we will do our best to promote Negros to the Filipinos and the world.” Caram said.

Island Living Channel is a lifestyle cable that broadcast medium that airs tourism-related programs and shows in 60 towns and cities throughout Visayas and Mindanao, the press release said.

The conference theme highlights the need for good governance for business to thrive and prosper so as the generate jobs and contribute to local taxes, Carbon said.

Island Living Channel continuously airs its episode in its widescreen at the convention to show tourist attractions and festival highlights of Negros Occidental.

Among the tourist attractions and festivals that solicited favorable responses from the delegates and guests were the Masskara Festival of Bacolod City, Bago City’s Babaylan Festival and its tourism AVP, and the Dinagsa Festival of Cadiz City, the La Carlota City Pasalamat Festival, the Negros Occidental Golf and Country Club, the tourist spots of Don Salvador Benedicto and its Kali-Kalihan Festival, the white sand beaches of Sipalay and Sagay Cities, are also audience favorites, the press release added.*
