Health cards given in Silay

About 1,200 members were given Philhealth cards at the Sen. Jose C. Locsin Cultural and Civic Center in Silay City, recently.

Silay City Mayor Jose Montelibano, Vice Mayor Mark Golez, SP Members Joedith Gallego, Ireneo Celis Jr., Edgardo Maravilla and Uldarico Penuela, with Agnes Magsaysay Villar, Neil Solomon Locsin, Mario Torres, Jimmy Mayo, Renato Doloso, and Warlito Go led the card distribution, a press release from Silay City said.

OIC-City Administrator Noel Doloriac confirmed that there are 9,762 Philhealth beneficiaries that the city is sponsoring.

The National Household Targeting System in coordination with the Department of Health is also sponsoring 2,621 members, the press release said.

New enrolees are up to 3,000 in the city, Doloriac said, “The city government will go into the different barangays and will extend the blessings of Philhealth thus I am expecting that the number of Philhealth members will increase,” the press release added.*
