President Benigno  Aquino III has appointed new officials in various government agencies, including an acting head of the Department of Tourism in Western Visayas,  a Malacañang official said yesterday.

The appointments were announced by Deputy Presidential Spokesperson Abigail Valte during the regular press briefing at the Palace.

Helen  Catalbas was named Acting Director IV of the Department of Tourism.*PNA
