Cops nab suspect in
slay of caregiver

BY ADRIAN NEMES III

One of the three suspects in the fatal stabbing of a caregiver in Brgy. Taculing, Bacolod City, in August this year, was apprehended by Station 6 policemen at about 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at his house in Brgy. Estefania.

Station 6 commander, Chief Insp. Noel Polines, identified the arrested suspect as Gerald Condeza, 23, “alias Jimboy”, of Fortune Town, Brgy. Estefania.

Condeza was arrested on the strength of an arrest warrant for murder issued by Regional Trial Court Judge Phildelfa Pagapong-Agraviador, who denied him bail.

Condeza, Jiboy Guillermo and a 17-year-old, who are still at large, have been tagged in the killing of Raymund Aliling, 26, of San Carlos City, Negros Occidental, an in-house caregiver of the Eusebio family at Pleasantville Subdivision, Taculing in the city on August 10.

In August, Condeza and the minor had surrendered to Bombo Radyo Bacolod staff, who turned them over to Station 6 on August 12, but they were released as no charges were filed against them.

The two denied killing Aliling and instead pointed to Guillermo as the one who chased the victim and stabbed him repeatedly with a knife, the police said.

Condeza will be endorsed to the Bacolod City Jail Management and Penology in Brgy. Taculing.*APN
