Himamaylan set for
P200M gov’t center

Himamaylan City in Negros Occidental is planning to construct soon a P200- million government center.

Board Member Salvador Escalante, Finance committee chairperson of the Negros Occidental Sangguniang Panlalawigan, said the amount will be borrowed from the Land Bank of the Philippines, as stipulated in an ordinance approved by the Himamaylan Sangguniang Panlungsod.

During its regular session Wednesday, the Sangguniang Panlalawigan of Negros Occidental approved the proposed loan of the Himamaylan City government from two government banks of P223,500,000, to fund the proposed construction of its government center, and sanitary land fill project.

Escalante said P23.5 million will also be borrowed from the Development Bank of the Philippines.

The provincial SP also approved the 2012 annual economic enterprise budget of Victorias City of P15.6 million,the P50,119,850 annual general fund budget of Candoni, and its P6,444,252.47 economic enterprise budget.

The SP also expressed its support to the request of the Negros Occidental Provincial Development Council-Executive Committee for Public Works and Highway Secretary Rogelio Singson to allocate funds for the installation of street lights along the Bacolod-Silay Airport Access Road. * GPB
