Three suspects in murder and frustrated murder cases, who are included in the list of most wanted persons, were arrested Thursday by the police in Cauayan and in La Castellana, Negros Occidental.
Senior Inspector Gary Alan Resuma, La Castellana police chief, yesterday identified the arrested murder suspect as Erving Estremadora, 54, who was denied bail by La Carlota Regional Trial Court Judge Pepito Gellada.
Resuma said Estremadora ranked number three in the 10 most- wanted persons list in La Castellana.
Felipe Bautista and his brother, Juan, who are facing frustrated murder charges, were apprehended on the same day in Brgy. Bulata, Cauayan, by a police team headed by Inspector Louie Figueroa.
Figueroa said the Bautista brothers are also in the list of 10 most- wanted persons in Cauayan.
Then Kabankalan Regional Trial Court Judge Henry Arles had recommended P200,000 bail for each of the brothers, who are now in jail.
Meanwhile, Cadiz Regional Trial Court Judge Renato Munez has recommended P80,000 bail for Amy Licanda,46, who was apprehended on Oct. 11 in Brgy. Paraiso, Sagay City, by virtue of an arrest warrant for the crime of child abuse.
Licanda, a teacher, is now detained at the Cadiz police jail.* GPB back
