High-rise condominium
soon in Bacolod City

MYVAN Properties and Development Inc. launched its 12-storey Cityscape Residences condominium project at the L'Fisher Hotel in Bacolod City yesterday with Bacolod Mayor Evelio Leonardia, as guest speaker.

Nimfa Gandionko, MYVAN corporate marketing manager, said that the facility will be built at 6th Lacson Street behind a food chain and will have 190 units with floor areas of 19 square meters to 35 square meters designed to meet the lifestyles of Bacoleños.

She said this is the first investment of the company outside Cebu and Mandaue cities where it has developed three condominium projects.

They chose Bacolod because of the city's progressive and growing business opportunities and its market potential, so the groundbreaking of the site will be in December, Gandionko said.

She also said that Cityscape Residences is affordable and it is the right opportunity for Bacoleños to experience business and leisure at the same time.

The building will be equipped with commercial and entertainment areas, automatic fire alarm systems, 24-hour building security, basement parking area, and closed circuit televisions, Gandionko added.

Leonardia said the prospect of having a 12-storey building excites him because this it is the first time for Bacolod to have a high-rise condominium project as an investment.

He recalled that in 1969 the tallest building in the city was that of the Philippine National Bank and now the condominium investment comes and this makes him believe further in the economic dynamism of the city.

It tells us that things are indeed, really moving in Bacolod City. The landscape has changed into something that gives people the impression that Bacolod City is growing, Leonardia said.

“Condominiums like this are only feasible in progressive cities and the entry of this one makes me excited as it confirms that our city is indeed, rising,” Leonardia said.

He also thanked MYVAN president Mark Anthony Ortiz for choosing Bacolod and assured him and all other entrepreneurs that the city will continue to be a conducive place for businesses to grow in. *LTG
