PDIC all set to bid rehab of
Export & Industry Bank

MANILA – The Philippine Deposit Insurance Corp. is set to bid today the first tranche for the rehabilitation of the closed Export & Industry Bank, a government press release said.

Bids for Tranche 1 will be opened at 1 p.m. at the Penthouse, SSS Bldg., 6782 Ayala Avenue corner V. A. Rufino St., Makati City.

The bidding is open to the public on a first come, first serve basis.

Sale at SM starts today

Drivers get livestock

The affiliate members of the Sentrong Samahan ng mga Tsuper at Operators Negros Inc. in Brgy.Taloc, Bago City, recently received 20 piglets from the Negros First Animal Dispersal program of Gov. Alfredo Marañon Jr.

Cathyrine Narez, provincial livestock inspector, said yesterday that the drivers of tricycles and public utility jeeps were also trained in animal management and raising to help them grow the animals.

Farm animals are given to qualified beneficiaries to help them in their livelihood and to generate additional income for their families, she said.
