P1M brgy road inaugurated

The Negros Oriental provincial government inaugurated a P1 million barangay road in Cadawinonan, Dumaguete City, recently, a government press release said.

Gov. Roel Degamo said Dumaguete City received the biggest share in the province's 20 percent economic development fund because he saw the need to fund infrastructure and facilities in the city, that he also said, is the show window of Negros Oriental, being the capital of the province.

The provincial government also allotted funds for the implementation of development projects in the barangays across the province. Recently, it turned over a road cementing project, worth P3.5 million, to Brgy. Narra, Bayawan City.

The project involved the cementing of a road network connecting Sitio Banuyo to Brgys. Nangka and Narra, and was one of the biggest road projects funded by the province for a barangay, the press release added.*
