Mayors arriving
today for LCP meet

Plans for the arrival of the country's mayors are all set after yesterday's meeting at the Planta Hotel in Bacolod City with League of Cities of the Philippines' Executive Director, Yvonne de los Reyes, providing the major details of the event, a press release from City Hall said.

At the meeting were Bacolod Mayor Evelio Leonardia, La Carlota Mayor Juliet Marie Ferrer, and representatives of Bago and Silay cities, among others.

The mayors will arrive at the Bacolod Silay Airport today and will proceed to L'Fisher Hotel where they will be billeted. They will then join a city-hosted dinner at the Bacolod Government Center, after which they will return to L'Fisher Hotel to watch the Electric MassKara presentation at 8 p.m., de los Reyes said.

The LCP's 50th National Executive Board Meeting-Expanded will be held at L'Fisher Hotel from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. tomorrow, where the Electric MassKara and fellowship night also takes place at 6:30 p.m. with the 60's Band performing, topped with ballroom dancing and a dinner for the mayors, de los Reyes added.

The guests will have snacks at Talisay City's Ruins Sunday morning followed by lunch at Nature's Village, she said.

From Nature's Village in Talisay, the mayors will tour Silay City enroute to the Bacolod-Silay Airport for the travel back to Metro Manila, the press release added.*
