at WNU gym today

Two member-teams of the Bacolod City-based Your Basketball Athletic Club will play a pair of goodwill games for 50 and up and 50 and below today against the visiting squads from Cadiz City at the West Negros University gym.

The friendly match-up is an intermission to the ongoing YBAC Basketball Tournament played on weekends among the member squads of the league.

Latest results from the tournament showed RD Trucking escaping with a 91-90 squeaker against Robinhood Commercial, while Jaltas/Consuelo Supermart outplayed defending champion Joshbianc Motors, 90-85.

Despite having only eight players reporting for the game, RD kept the game close and pulled off a come-from-behind victory against Robinhood as player-coach Rolly Buenaflor and Kokoy Pendon played pivotal roles in the team’s final run in the payoff quarter.

With six minutes left in the game, and with a 12-point lead, Robinhood yielded the momentum as the team missed most of their shots in the endgame.
