top MassKara bowlfest

Condura ASSFBI Ladies–Bacolod led in their division and the Davao Team the men’s bracket in the four-day National Masskara Open Trio Bowling Championship Sonny Angara Cup hosted by Kami Mga Hubin Bowling Club at the Super Lanes of the Goldenfield Commercial Complex in Bacolod City.

Lea Javier of Condura bagged the master bowler title in the women’s category with a victory over Bet Dela Pena of Novaliches, while Nonoy Hulguin of KMH – Bacolod was second runner-up in the men’s department won by Abs Punto of the Zamboanga team.

Minnie Chua of Retro – Bacolod was second runner-up in the ladies bracket, and Charles Morales of Davao, first runner-up in the men’s category.

The ASSFBI ‘s team composed of Sylvia del Rosario, Juliet Regollo, and Javier claimed top prize by defeating Davies Fusion – Bacolod represented by Vilma Robles, Tess Robles and Precy Pillo in the final showdown, 345-343.

Robles group beat sister team Davies II for the right to face the top seed in the championship, 339-333.

The Davies other team members were Maila Balayo, Nellie Rendon and Ann Dayot.

In the men’s team, Davao won over Pampanga in the finals, 369-358, while General Santos City Team was second runner-up.

Tournament record holders were Zamboanga in the men’s highest single and triple with 410 and 1,205 points, and PDBAI in the women’s single and triple with 346 and 976, respectively.

In the individual contest, Arnel Crudo of Davao, and Lorenz Hilaus of Regal –Manila had the highest pinning record with 97 and 95 pinfalls.

Abs Punto of Zamboanga registered the highest single and triple marks with 171 and 445 in the men’s category, with Iloilo bet Bob Gallego and Hilaus on the distaff side with 146 and 389 each.
