7th community
hospital opens

The seventh community primary hospital in the province opened in Barangay Dauis, Bayawan City, Negros Oriental recently, to provide basic healthcare services to Negrenses.

Gov. Roel Degamo, Rep. Henry Pryde Teves (Neg. Or., 3rd District), Bayawan city and barangay officials witnessed the opening of the Dauis Community Primary Hospital that was started during the term of former Gov. Emilio Macias II.

The province allocated around P6 million for the completion of the hospital that boasts of a basic emergency obstetric and newborn care for newborn babies and mothers.

Degamo appealed to the community to take care of all the equipment so that these can serve more patients longer.

The other community primary hospitals in Negros Oriental are the Amio CPH in Sta. Catalina; Inapoy CPH in Mabinay; Kalumboyan in Bayawan City; Luz-Sikatuna CPH in Luz, Guihulngan City; Nabilog in Tambalan, Tayasan; and the Pacuan hospital in La Libertad.*MA
