City cops nab
suspected drug pusher

BY ADRIAN NEMES III

A suspected drug peddler was arrested by members of the City Anti-Illegal Drugs Special Operations Task Group at about 4:20 p.m. yesterday in Brgy 27, Bacolod City.

CAIDSTOG head, Supt. Santiago Rapiz identified the suspect as Alexander Tansingco, 34, of Purok Cereza Dos, Brgy. 27, Bacolod.

Rapiz said they arrested Tansingco when he handed a small sachet of suspected shabu to a police poseur buyer in exchange for P300. However, other sachets of the banned substance were not seized because the suspect’s sister, whose name was not disclosed, brought them with her when she escaped.

He said Tansingco is not on their watch list although he is considered a big-time drug pusher because of the volume of drugs he allegedly sells.

Earlier Rapiz had said that the price of shabu in Bacolod City is expected to drop, from P500 for a sachet to P200 and that they are intensifying their campaign against illegal drugs in anticipation of more supplies of shabu and marijuana to be brought to Bacolod during the Yuletide season.*APN
