The Genesis Football Club of coach Peter Talbot captured the championship in both boys and girls’ 12 Under category in an age-group tournament held in San Carlos City recently.

Talbot said the competition drew participation from football clubs in the country, among them teams from Manila, Iloilo, Cebu and neighboring towns and cities in Negros Occidental.

In the 12 Under girls’ group, the Genesis team beat host San Carlos in the finals with Bethany Talbot scoring the winning goal for the team. Joining her in the team were Teray Aspuerta and Denzie Dayon.

The champion 12 Under boys team was composed of David Cruz, Jericho Singconique, KJ Bayani, Jaime and Jayso Galve, Geart Memoria, Alfred Acero, and Renzo Superlativo.

Talbot said the tournament exposed the members of the Genesis FC to another high-level of competition.*NAB
