MANILA – The employment outlook for the next quarter is more bullish, according to a survey conducted by the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas.
Result of its Business Expectation Survey indicated that the employment outlook index for the fourth quarter surged to 27.4 percent, its highest level since the BSP made nationwide its BES survey in 2006.
The index for the third quarter this year stood at 22.1 percent while year-ago rate was at 23.2 percent.

elects new officers
The Independent Planters of Biscom Inc. held a turnover ceremony for its new officers and directors for crop year 2012-2013 at the Bacolod Golf and Country Club recently, a press release from IPOBI said.
The elections were held during the associations' general assembly where majority of the 2,000 members most of whom small farmers were present the press release said.
The new officers are Ricardo Yulo - president, Francis Gerard Tuvilla - vice president, Alfredo Reyes - secretary, Vincent Peter Mirasol - assistant secretary, and Florence Porras Jr. - treasurer.
P69.7 million readied for
4Ps beneficiaries
The Department of Social Welfare and Development in Negros Occidental will release a retroactive payment of P69.7 million to Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program beneficiaries from 24 local government units in the province.
Dionela Madrona, provincial grievance officer of DSWD, said the amount is for the period from July to September 2011 with 75,000 households whose monthly stipend were reduced due to false and lack of information, non-compliance with the provisions, and minor offenses that resulted in their removal from the program.
She said they are consolidating the rest of the beneficiaries who will be entitled to the retroactive payment from October 2011 onwards.
